On April 2, the state announced that all schools in Indiana are to remain closed and practice eLearning for the remainder of the 19-20 school year. All elementary students were sent home with a student laptop and were given guidance on picking up chargers. All students will utilize eLearning with their student laptops. Teachers and administrators will be in contact with families on how to begin eLearning. The Indiana Department of Education allows schools in Indiana to "virtually" have school on days that school is closed due to bad weather or other emergencies, such as our current circumstance. The work is taken for a grade and must be completed as with a regular school day.
eLearning will begin on Tuesday, April 7. For the month of April, students will have eLearning on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays will be used as waiver days provided by the state to give teachers time for grading and prep.
If you are a family without Internet access, please contact your child's school to make other arrangements. LCSC has created a list of Internet resources for our community here.
