KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP - APRIL 13 - 6:30 P.M.
The Logansport Community School Corporation's elementary schools will be holding Kindergarten Round Up at each elementary school on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
If your child will be five (5) years old on or before August 1, 2010, they are eligible to register at the school in the district in which they live. You are required to bring a copy of your child's legal birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency.
Documents allowed to be used for proof of residency must be dated withing the last 30 days. Documents accepted are listed below:
- Rent receipt
- Utility Bill
- HOME Phone Bill (Not cell phone)
- Gas Bill
- Cable Bill
- Mortgage Statement
Drivers licenses, bank statements, and medical bills are not documents accepted for proof of residency.

LCSC In-District Student Transfer Requests

APRIL 9th DEADLINE
|
|
| LCSC resident students who are currently attending an LCSC school out of their home district who wish to continue attending that school during the 2010-2011 school year MUST request and fill out a transfer request form from their school office. Forms will not be mailed home this year.
The deadline to return the request form to the school office is April 9, 2010. Any student without a request form will not be allowed to attend that school for the 2010-2011 school year.
Students going into kindergarten and sixth grade for the 2010-2011 school year who have an older sibling who will be attending the school they are requesting for the 2010-2011 must also fill out a request form.

On Monday, March 8, 2010, at 6:00 PM, the Logansport School Board will hold its regular Board Meeting at Franklin Elementary School.
This meeting is a meeting of the Board of School Trustees (Board) of the Logansport Community School Corporation (Corporation) in public for the purpose of conducting the School Corporation's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There will be time for public comments as indicated on the agenda.
This meeting is open to the public, however public input will not be allowed.
The meeting site is fully-accessible. Any person requiring further accommodation should contact the Superintendent at the Corporation’s central office.
The topics to be discussed at this meeting are topics of a public nature. Topics qualifying for Executive Sessions, I.C. 5-14-1.5-7 as amended, are prohibited.

Beginning December 1, the Logansport Backpack Program will be partnering with Tyson and the United Way to sell cookbooks for $10.
Each cookbook sold will fill two backpacks with food for a needy child!
Cookbooks will be available at Tyson, the United Way office, and Columbia and Fairview Elementary Schools.

FREE TUTORING
Fairview and Columbia Elementary students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch can enroll in a free tutoring program known as Supplemental Educational Services. These tutoring programs may be offered before or after the regular school day, on weekends, or in the summer.
Enrollment is easy, and the tutoring will cost you absolutely nothing! Call your child's school for more information!

REMINDER: If you move out of your school’s district, you will be required to enroll your child in the school district in which you move the following school year. Your child will be allowed to finish the current school year at the school in which they started.
