Matt Jones, a proud 1991 graduate of Logansport High School and member of the state champion baseball team, brings decades of Berry tradition and leadership to his role as Executive Director of the LHS Alumni Association.
Matt served as principal of LHS for 14 years, retiring with the Class of 2025 as his final graduating class. During his tenure, he expanded academic and extracurricular opportunities while strengthening alumni and community connections. His 30-year career in the Logansport Community School Corporation also included roles as assistant principal at LHS, administrator at Lincoln Middle School, and teacher at both the middle school and Columbia Elementary.
Matt’s Berry roots run deep. His father, the late Larry “Butch” Jones (Class of 1958), was a teacher and baseball coach at LHS for nearly four decades. His sisters, Lori (Class of 1983) and Hayley (Class of 1987), are fellow LHS alumni, and his mother, Judy, has always been a devoted supporter of the Berries.
As Executive Director, Matt is committed to celebrating the past, connecting the present, and building the future by reconnecting alumni, honoring shared memories, and supporting current students through events, fundraising, and special initiatives—including the 100th birthday celebration of Felix the Cat in 2026.
