National Honor Society

All 7th and 8th Grade Students: 

It is time for students who qualify to apply for entrance into the National Junior Honor Society.

The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding junior high students. Students who can apply for admission to NJHS must possess five qualities:

  • Scholastics: Students must have and be able to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

  • Service: Students must complete 5 hours of community service each semester following student’s induction through the end of their 8th grade year.

  • Leadership: Students must demonstrate leadership in school, in the classroom, at work, and at community activities.

  • Character: Students must participate in an extra-curricular activity and possess exceptional, grade-appropriate character traits.

  • Citizenship: Students must be a positive role model, have no discipline referrals for cheating, profanity, insubordination, or which result in OSS; students must rarely be absent or tardy.

To apply, students who qualify using the criteria above must download the application form linked below, create a copy of the application, fill out the information required, and submit it electronically to Mr. Bault by sharing an editable copy to baultj@lcsc.k12.in.us no later than 3:15 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021. Applications received after that day and time will not be considered. Applications not completed completely or correctly will not be considered.
