Bert Chambers was an LCSC staff member who left a positive and lasting impact on our LCSC family over the course of her nearly 38 years of service. 27 of those years were served helping guide students down the right path and helping students make better choices behaviorally and academically while serving as the ISS supervisor at Logansport Junior High. She worked almost every home junior high ballgame and could often be found helping out at high school events as well. Bert’s genuinely kind spirit and dedication to helping others will truly be missed.
LJHS has started a scholarship in her name. The scholarship recipient must carry similar qualities, though perhaps, not always making the best choices prior to high school. Students who demonstrate a B- minimum GPA, a financial need, have provided service to the school community, had no disciplinary issues 9-12, and have been accepted to a postsecondary institution with plans for study are encouraged to apply.
